Remember Impressions Games? A company that gave us all of those legendary names in city-building genre? Like you know. A company with one heck of an unlucky story. So, here comes Tilted Mill Entertainment. There were different ways to deal with the neighbors (which were heavily inspired by Sid Meier's Civilization), battles were done in Diablo-like manner and replayability was there due to the fact that the world was randomly generated. Long story short, we had that hero who was free to travel the world and conquer other territories, while being in constant need to return and protect their own town. The one, I think, I saw for the first time in Soldak Entertainment's Depths of Peril.
There was another take on the idea, though. Especially if you were old enough to play them back then. Many of you probably remember those games.
